Irregular verbs adalah kata yang menggambarkan aksi atau pekerjaan dan jika diubah menjadi bentuk past tense maka struktur kata itu akan berubah.
Irregular verb umumnya tidak mengikuti sebuah motif atau pola tertentu sehingga cara terbaik untuk fasih dalam menggunakannya adalah dengan menghafalnya.

- Verb 1
Verb 1 digunakan untuk hal-hal yang terjadi sekarang atau sering juga disebut dengan present tense. Verb ini identik dengan penggunakan waktu now. Sesuai dengan subjeknya, subjek he,she,it menggunakan imbuhan –s atau –es pada verbnya.
Contoh ; She flies her paper plane through the window now.
- Verb 2
Verb 2 digunakan untuk hal yang terjadi di masa lalu atau disebut past tense. Verb ini identik dengan penggunaan keterangan waktu yesterday, last night, dan lain-lain
Contoh ; Gino came late to class yesterday.
- Verb 3
Verb 3 digunakan untuk hal yang telah terjadi di masa lalu dan hal itu sudah selesai atau disebut dengan past participle tense. Verb ini identik dengan penggunaan have, has, had.
Contoh ; My family have travelled across Europe last month.
