Cashier Conversation: Percakapan Kasir dan Pelanggan dalam Bahasa Inggris
Cashier: Good evening. Is there anything else you need sir?
Johnson: I think it’s enough.
Cashier: Have you checked our latest sale on the 2nd floor?
Johnson: Yes I have, I took two pants.
Cashier: Do you have our store card club?
Johnson: No, I don’t have.
Cashier: Would you like to register yours now?
Johnson: No, thanks. My wife has that card.
Cashier: It costs Rp. 320.000. Are you going to use card or cash?
Johnson : Here’s my card.
Cashier: I see a trouble here. Do you have any other card with you?
Johnson: Well, let me pay it by cash. Here’s Rp.320.000
Cashier: Okay. These are the pants and you get 2 free trial on our lucky spin. We give it for every purchase exceeding Rp. 150.000. You can find the lucky wheel just after the entrance right there.
Johnson: That’s nice.
Cashier : Is there anything I could help sir?
Johnson: No, thank you very much for your assistance.

Contoh percakapan diatas adalah sebuah percakapan antara seorang kasir dan pelanggan. Kita akan mempelajari beberapa ekspresi dan ungkapan yang lazim digunakan dalam percakapan antara kasir dan pelanggan; dari ragam bahasa formal dan informal. Untuk memudahkan pembelajaran materi ini, percakapan diatas akan dibagi menjadi beberapa sesi yaitu:
1. Salam (greetings)
Ada beberapa ekspresi untuk melakukan salam kepada pelanggan. Salam yang dimaksud dalam percakapan ini adalah untuk menanyakan kembali jika ada sesuatu yang diperlukan lagi oleh pelanggan. Berikut adalah contoh ekspresi dan ungkapan.

Tidak semua pelanggan telah menemukan apa yang dia cari selama berbelanja. Ada kalanya pelanggan akan bertanya barang yang belum ditemuinya jika dia tidak bisa menemukan customer service di area perbelanjaan. Kita dapat membantu jika tidak terdapat antrian pelanggan. Berikut adalah ekspresi yang dapat kita pergunakan.

2. Pemberitahuan diskon
Sebagai seorang kasir wajib untuk mengingatkan jika ada diskon yang mungkin tidak diketahui pelanggan. Berikut adalah ekspresi yang dapat dipakai.

Biasanya sebuah toko atau department store memberikan kartu member untuk diskon dan pengumpulan poin. Ada beberapa ekspresi yang anda bisa gunakan seperti:

Jika pelanggan belum mempunyai card club, kasir wajib untuk menawarkannya. Kalian dapat gunakan ekspresi seperti:

4. Memberi tahu jumlah harga dan cash or card
Dibawah ini adalah ekspresi yang dapat kalian gunakan untuk memberi tahu harga dan menanyakan apakah ingin membayar dengan uang tunai atau kartu kredit.

Untuk pelanggan, kalian dapat menjawab dengan ekspresi sebagai berikut:

Seorang kasir yang juga sebagai frontliner wajib untuk memberikan salam penutup; akan lebih baik untuk menyebutkan nama toko dan ‘jangan lupa untuk datang kembali’ seperti.
