Ketika bertugas polisi lalu lintas bisa saja mengehentikan pengendara bermotor yang tidak bisa berbahasa Inggris. Nah berikut adalah contoh percakapan polisi lalu lintas di jalan:

Dialog 1 – One Way Street

Police: Good morning. Could I see your driving license and vehicle registration number, please? (Selamat pagi. Bisa saya melihat SIM dan STNK Anda?)

Driver: Sure. Here you go. (Boleh. Ini.)

Police: Thank you. Um… Your driving license is good, but I should give you a ticket. (Terima kasih. Em… SIM Anda baik-baik saja, tapi saya harus memberi Anda surat tilang.)

Kid: I want to drive my friend to his dad. His dad is in hospital. He is sick. (Saya ingin mengantar teman saya ke ayahnya. Ayahnya ada di rumah sakit. Beliau sakit.)
