Percakapan di Rumah Sakit (Menanyakan Dokter, Biaya Perawatan, dll)

Kali ini kami akan memberikan contoh percakapan dalam bahasa Inggris dengan seting rumah sakit, yakni tentang seorang ibu yang hendak menanyakan biaya operasi serta perawatan di rumah sakit tersebut.

Ibu ini mengalami sakit pembengkakan kelenjar tiroid dan harus dioperasi, tetapi ia masih melakukan survey tentang segala biaya guna mendapatkan penawaran terbaik yang sesuai dengan kondisi keuangannya.

Conversation with Nurse at Hospital
	Bina:	Good morning, Nurse.
		(Selamat pagi, Mbak Perawat.)
	Nurse:	Good morning Miss. What can I help?
		(Selamat pagi, Bu. Ada yang bisa saya bantu?)
	Bina:	I just wanted to ask some questions about the cost in this hospital.
		(Saya cuma ingin tanya tentang biaya-biaya yang ada di rumah sakit ini.)
	Nurse:	Of course. May I know your name Miss?
		(Tentu. Boleh saya tahu nama ibu?)
	Bina:	My name is Bina and I have this thyroid problem. I’ve checked myself with Dr. Hari but in another hospital. He also practices here, right?
		(Nama saya Bina dan saya punya masalah tiroid. Saya sudah periksa ke dr. Hari tapi di rumah sakit lain. Beliau juga praktik di sini, kan?)
	Nurse:	Dr. Hari Doe? Yes Miss. He has afternoon practice at 3-8 pm. Did you meet him in Rumah Sakit Harapan?
		(Nurse: Dr. Hari Doe? Ya, Bu. Beliau ada praktik sore jam 3-8. Apakah ibu bertemu dengannya di RS Harapan?)
	Bina:	Yes, last week. He checked on my thyroid problem and said that I would need an operation to take out the bump. I had wanted to have the operation in Rumah Sakit Harapan, but with or without insurance, the waiting list is pretty long. They have a lot of patients there.
		(Iya, minggu lalu. Beliau memeriksa masalah tiroid saya dan katanya saya perlu dioperasi untuk mengambil benjolan tersebut. Saya sebenarnya mau operasi di RS Harapan saja, tapi tanpa maupun dengan asuransi, daftar tunggunya panjang. Pasiennya banyak sekali di sana.)
	Nurse:	I see.
		(Oh, saya mengerti.)
	Bina:	Dr. Hari said if I would, he could have me operated here. But how much does it cost to have a thyroid operation in this hospital?
		( Dr. Hari bilang bahwa jika saya mau, beliau bisa mengoperasi saya di sini. Tapi berapa ya biayanya untuk operasi tiroid di rumah sakit ini?)
	Nurse:	Well, it really depends on the kind of operation Miss. I can’t say how much exactly, but it’s around thirty million rupiahs. And that doesn’t include the room, medicine, and doctor’s visitation. But it may vary, depends on the severeness of the case and what kind of operation the doctor chooses to do.
		(Sebenarnya tergantung pada jenis operasinya, Bu. Saya tidak bisa bilang berapa tepatnya, tapi mungkin sekitar tiga puluh juta rupiah. Dan itu belum termasuk biaya kamar, obat, dan kunjungan dokter. Tapi itupun bisa bergantung pada keparahan kasusnya dan operasi macam apa yang dipilih oleh dokternya.)
	Bina:	Oh, okay. Could it be lower than thirty million?
		(Oh, baiklah. Mungkin tidak kalau biaya kurang dari tiga puluh juta rupiah?)
	Nurse:	It’s possible but not by much. I’m sorry, I actually can’t say exactly, but that’s the average so far. We have to check on Dr. Hari again about your case.
		(Mungkin tapi tidak banyak. Maaf, Bu, saya tidak bisa bilang tepatnya berapa, tapi itulah biaya rata-rata sejauh ini. Kami harus memeriksa kembali kasus ibu lewat dr. Hari.)
	Bina:	And what about the room? What kind of room do you have?
		(Lantas bagaimana dengan kamarnya? Kamar macam saja yang ada di sini?)
	Nurse:	Well, this is the list of the room and their facility. It ranges from 1,500,000 rupiahs per night, that’s the VVIP class, to 450,000 rupiahs per night. There’s also the doctor’s fee, depends on what room you choose for recovery.
		(Ini daftar kamar dan fasilitasnya. Bervariasi mulai dari Rp1.500.000 per malam, itu kamar kelas VVIP, hingga Rp450.000 per malam. Ada pula biaya dokternya, tergantung kamar apa yang ibu pilih untuk masa pemulihan.)
	Bina:	How long do patients with thyroid problem stay in the hospital in total?
		(Berapa lama biasanya pasien dengan masalah tiroid tinggal di rumah sakit?)
	Nurse:	More or less a week Miss. Depends on the patient’s reaction toward the treatment. We have to check on Dr. Hari again for your case. If you want, I can book an appointment with him, maybe this afternoon?
		(Kurang lebih seminggu, Bu. Tergantung pada reaksi pasien terhadap pengobatan. Kami harus mengecek ke dr. Hari lagi untuk kasus ibu. Kalau ibu mau, saya bisa jadwalkan janji dengan beliau, mungkin sore ini?)
	Bina:	All right then.
		(Baiklah kalau begitu.)
	Nurse:	Is it okay? This afternoon at 3 pm. I mean, if the thyroid problem really bothers you, then you might want to treat it as soon as possible.
		(Tidak apa-apa, Bu? Sore ini pukul tiga. Maksud saya, kalau memang masalah tiroid ibu sudah benar-benar mengganggu, pasti ibu ingin ditangani secepatnya.)
	Bina:	That’s what Dr. Hari said. Now it’s rather hard for me to breath when I lie down. And it’s also difficult for me to swallow.
		( Itu yang dr. Hari bilang. Sekarang ini pun sudah sulit buat bernafas kalau saya berbaring. Dan sulit juga untuk menelan.)
	Nurse:	All right, then. I’ll put your name to the list for Dr. Hari’s appointment this afternoon.
		(Baik kalau bgitu. Saya akan taruh nama ibu di daftar janji dr. Hari sore ini.)
	Bina:	Thank you, Nurse. I’ll come back later, then.
		(Terima kasih, Mbak. Saya akan kembali lagi nanti.)
	Nurse:	You’re welcome Miss.
